Arts for All! The McCormick Arts Council at the Keturah (MACK) and local partners are teaming up again to offer summer programs for our local and visiting youth! The MACK advances youth arts programming by offering various cultural and art education experiences. This summer we will be offering a variety of programs to serve students ages 5 – 18 at various locations. Camps will include pottery, dance, drawing, painting, public art, photography, and more. The Summer program will begin the week of June 10, and will be offered at various locations throughout the summer. All new students are encouraged to email McCormickArts@gmail.com to express interest in the 2024 program. Team members will assist with registration and provide a detailed calendar and course description. Registration will open June 3, 2024.

Additional programs are also offered in partnership through the McCormick County 4-H, McCormick County Library, John De La Howe, McCormick School District, Hickory Knob State Park, the McCormick County Recreation Department, The Paul Dennis Center, and more. The purpose of these programs is to provide fun, engaging, and educational experiences in our hometown.

Area youth program providers collectively support positive experiences for our local students and families. High-quality programs and partnerships ensure all children have opportunities to improve overall wellness, mental health, citizenship, compassion, a higher sense of self-worth, develop a sense of belonging, achieve educational goals, have the potential to improve economic well-being, and improve family and community relationships. This program is funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Our goal is to ensure our youth programs are accessible to all students. If your family faces financial barriers that limit your ability to participate in this program, please email McCormickArts@gmail.com to explore scholarship opportunities. Funding is limited and registration may be subject to attendance requirements. If you would like to support this subsidized youth art program: https://www.mccormickarts.org/item/donation/. The MACK is a  501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All contributions are tax-deductible. Thank you!
