MACK: New Art Class available with Joni Purk

MACK: New Art Class available this fall!

[McCormick, SC] A new class is now available through the McCormick Arts Council (MACK). If you have ever wanted to draw or improve on your drawing skills, local artist, Joni Purk, will offer a Beginning Drawing/Refresher course in October! An award-winning artist for over 25 years, Joni Purk works mostly in oil. An artist, instructor, curator, and juror of fine art, her life is art. 

In this course, you will learn how to improve your drawing skills, including ‘how to begin’ tips to get you off to a great start! Joni will also take you through the steps including breaking down the subject, drawing what you see, negative and positive space, balance, shadows and light and so much more! 

The cost for this class is $50 MACK member / $55 non-member. Classes are Wednesdays, October 12, 19, and 26  – 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm. While the MACK is undergoing rehabilitation, classes are being held at the McCormick United Methodist Church (200 E. Gold Street – McCormick, SC) A  minimum of 5 students is required. Please register by October 5 and plan to make payment once you have received your registration confirmation.
